Jetty Park is its own secluded, tropical paradise that the locals love and people from all over the world come to see for themselves. Jetty Park in beautiful Cape Canaveral is so much more than just a place to lay on the beach for a golden Central Florida suntan, play in the cool beautiful waters of the Atlantic Ocean or fish along the Jetty itself jutting out some 1200 feet into the ocean along Port Canaveral‘s mouth where Cruise Ships, cargo ships, private boats and some military ships venture out into the Atlantic. No, it is much much more.
With more than 30 acres to explore and enjoy Jetty Park is our exploration destination. You can spend the day relaxing on the beach or have a picnic in a rentable pavilion ($25).
You can go fishing, Jetty Park's fishing pier extends into the ocean and has fish cleaning stations with running water. The pier is paved and fully accessible. You can buy bait and tackle inside the two-story beach pavilion.
Jetty Park is the closest beach to Orlando with life guards all year round. It is located in Port Canaveral.
Amenities:
- Lifeguards
- Fishing Pier
- Food/Drink concession
- Beach Supply/Fishing Tackle shop (Pole rentals are $10 per day, return by 5pm).

- The fishing pier is wheelchair accessible. Dune walkovers are also wheelchair accessible but once you are out on the sand it is a good distance to the water’s edge. Special beach wheelchairs are available during business hours.
There is a modern concession building that houses a snack bar/restaurant, and a gift / tackle shop with restrooms and changing areas. This park is popular with fishermen, who fish along the inlet and from the pier. You’ll also find a few surfers in the water, bike riders on the beach, and a small family- oriented beach crowd.
The beach at Jetty Park is extremely wide at low tide and is very flat. There aren’t many shells, but the sand is whiter and finer than the sand on the rest of Cocoa Beach. In fact, the beach at Jetty Park almost resembles New Smyrna Beach more than Cocoa Beach.
Alcohol is allowed on the beach as long as it is not in a glass container.
