Jetty Park,
Port Canaveral, Florida
If surf and sand are in your plans, Reef Rovers plans to visit the 4.5 acres of soft, pristine, sandy beach designated for Jetty Park guests.
There are lifeguards on duty all year round. You won't even have to bother with dragging along those cumbersome chairs and umbrellas. Jetty Park has a vendor located on the beach where everything can be rented including chairs, umbrellas, kayaks, paddle boards, boogie boards, etc.
Outdoor showers located on the boardwalks are always a welcome sight after a long day on the beach.
Amenities:
- Lifeguards should be available, as always, swim at your own risk.
- Fishing Pier
- Food/Drink concession
- Beach Supply/Fishing Tackle shop (Pole rentals are $10 per day, return by 5pm).
- Restrooms and changing rooms.
- Beach Rental equipment available: chairs with cushions, umbrellas, bodyboards, surfboards, kayaks, SUP paddleboards, bikes. Also may be available: Jet skis, parasailing. Vendors generally open from 8:30 am to 5 pm but may close early on slow days.
There is a modern concession building that houses a snack bar/restaurant, and a gift / tackle shop with restrooms and changing areas. This park is popular with fishermen, who fish along the inlet and from the pier. You’ll also find a few surfers in the water, bike riders on the beach, and a small family- oriented beach crowd.
The beach at Jetty Park is extremely wide at low tide and is very flat. There aren’t many shells, but the sand is whiter and finer than the sand on the rest of Cocoa Beach. In fact, the beach at Jetty Park almost resembles New Smyrna Beach more than Cocoa Beach.
Alcohol is allowed on the beach as long as it is not in a glass container.
