Look out beach . . . here WE come!

Picture
The Reef Rovers will be heading to Nokomis Beach.

Straddling either side of Casey Key Road, at the south bridge, Nokomis Beach features 20 unspoiled acres of sea grapes and Australian pines. Offering public access to the inter-coastal waterway and the Gulf of Mexico, this beach supplies a boat ramp, fishing sites, a children’s playground, free parking, lifeguards, restrooms, picnic tables with grills and showers. Walkovers to the beach are bridged by boardwalks traversing the dunes. According to Google, concession stand and bait shop are located nearby.
Nokomis Beach is locally famous for the come-one, come-all drum circle held most Wednesday and Saturday evenings. Unfortunately, we won't be there for the drumming circle, but you could always return on your own! You can bring any musical instrument (especially a rhythm instrument), or just your voice, or just your ears, and enjoy the friendly, freewheeling musical mood. How cool would that be?
Nokomis is said to be a sheller's paradise.  AKA - a place to wear something to protect your feet!  :)
